CAI’s Spring Training Returns in 2018

Under Clarissa Parker’s direction, CAI reinstated our long standing tradition of Spring Training classes.  With the rise of web documentation, online Help and ‘Go to Meetings,’ the regional training had fallen by the wayside.  As Manager of the Service Department, Clarissa felt it was time to get back to our roots, and gather software users together for collaboration and training.

The Eastern Idaho training was held at Jefferson County in Rigby, Idaho in early April.  Counties attending were Bear Lake, Bingham, Caribou, Clark, Fremont, Jefferson, Madison, Minidoka, Oneida, Power and Teton.

Customer Recognizes Eastern Idaho Manager's Committment

The following email, dated August 16th, 2013 was reprinted with permission by Sherry Lufkin, Jefferson County, GIS.  Thanks to Sherry for taking time to acknowledge the extra efforts put forth by Garn Herrick, our Network Manager and Software Service Rep working from the Idaho Falls office.

"Hello, I hope this finds you doing well.  I just want to let you know how much we appreciate Garn and all he does for the county.  He is patient with our specific requests and explains technical issues in a way we learn and understand.  Yesterday, he was instrumental in setting up laptops for the appraisers and was very thorough.  It is a pleasure working with him.  We appreciate you guys!"  Sherry Lufkin, Jefferson County GIS

"I want to give Kudos to both Steve and to Leonard.  Today is Saturday and I’m in working trying to tie up loose ends before I officially leave office.  When I arrived I discovered that our email server was down.  Both Steve and Leonard took this problem under their belt and collectively they worked to bring the system back on line.  It’s this type of service from the CAI staff  that I have come to know, expect and more importantly, to appreciate.  Yes, I know that’s their job – but they do it so well – always.    I just wanted to pass that along to you.

Also, unbeknown to me at the time, Steve and his wife had just become parents the night before.  He still answered the phone and helped me! "
